Are You The Champion Of Your Own Life
Apr 20, 2020How do you push through when it all gets a bit much in the workout?
Observing your thoughts during a workout is a way to fast track your understanding of your own inner dialogue and the ways in which you either affirm your capacity and capability to handle pressure – or you bring attention to your own perceived limitations.
Why does this matter? Why are we so determined to elevate your workout from being just a way to burn calories – into a way to develop a stronger relationship with yourself?
Because you matter.
The relationship you have with yourself matters.
The way in which you talk to yourself matters.
A workout allows you to do the inner work required to truly get to know yourself.
It is worth bringing attention to the thoughts that fuel your workout. Do you create a state of suffering?
In your next workout, remain conscious and listen carefully to the self talk you curate before, during and after your workout.
Then consider:
– How much of what I am telling myself is outdated or unhelpful?
If Im telling myself I cant do this, but I managed to complete the workout…would it be possible to go into my next workout without that thought?
– What would I need to tell myself in order to release suffering and promote a positive, powerful state?
Bring awareness to what POWERFUL statements would be useful.
Today after our live bodyweight workout a small group of us took on a KB workout found within our online hub. It was CHALLENGING to say the least – a great opportunity for us to dig deep and curate powerful self talk.
Confidence is not being fearless – it is about knowing you can deal with any emotion, any thought, any sense of struggle that comes your way.
We would love to hear how you are progressing through your workouts and what you are discovering about yourself …
