Bringing action to intention

Mar 29, 2017

Would you believe me if I told you there is magic to be found in the morning ?  Building positive momentum that leads you towards your health and fitness goals is not just about adapting a positive mindset. Your mindset can prepare you to take action – but the magic is found in actually bringing action to your intentions. A commitment to actioning your intentions each morning here at Geelong Boxing Club can be transformational in all areas of your life.

I firmly believe that our thoughts create our reality. No matter what is happening around you, or even to you -you can choose how to feel about any situation, and how you feel will dictate your response and your reality.

More and more I am becoming aware of how many people complain daily about how ‘busy’ they are.

It never really sits well with me. Is how ‘busy’ or how ‘stressed’ you feel meant to reflect how hard you work or how successful you are ? Consider how many times you ask somebody how they are, or how their day has been and they throw their head back and moan about how busy they are.

What does being busy even mean ? What is the alternative ?
Having nothing to do? Placing limitations on yourself?

If you do indeed feel ‘busy’ I would like you to take a moment to reflect on whether this is actually true, or if you are in fact just unorganized?

If you could find an extra hour or two in your day, would it make a world of difference?

If you could find an extra 2 hours a day, over a week that would be 14 extra hours of productivity that could alleviate your from feeling overwhelmed and ‘busy’.

Where to find the time ? Simple ! The morning !! Our 6am sessions are the perfect way to start your day. You action your intention to improve your strength, fitness and health straight away. You become the priority for that day ! Movement, sweat and deep breathing just feels really good – and by 7am you will be wide awake and feeling ready to take on the world.

All it takes – is to set your alarm and get on up !

When your alarm goes off, wake up grateful to have the day ahead of you to make things happen !

If you don’t wake up feeling inspired and excited to make things happen within the next 24 hours…. You are yet to find your best life. Think about what it would take to make you jump out of bed, rather than roll over each morning.

When trying to improve your health or fitness – make a to do list. Then scrunch that piece of paper up- get rid of it! Whatever the first thing you wrote on that list was… just do that. Don’t waste time creating background noise for yourself. Focus on what is important and get on with it. Build momentum by actioning your intentions daily.

I am committed to beginning each day with movement of some sort. Some days it is a walk with my partner, other days it is a more intense session in a group or by myself.

I personally wake up earlier than most because in my experience, it’s the only time I can consistently take for myself. I need this time because to me.. silence is golden.

I listen carefully to what my intuition is telling me, what my heart wants and what my mind knows to be true. The few regrets I have in my life have always come from times that I ignored these things.

I believe that the first things that you think about when you wake up, are the things you should really be pursuing.

Life is just amazing if you get out of your own way and choose to be exhilarated rather than exhausted.

Busy is a state of mind I wont subscribe to.

If you feel busy – its because you are actually doing things. You are LIVING!
