Busy is a state of mind I wont subscribe to

Say it and it is true

I firmly believe that our thoughts create our reality. You can choose how to feel about any situation, and how you feel will dictate your response and your reality.

More and more I am having people complain to me about how ‘busy’ they are.

It never really sits well with me. Is how ‘busy’ or how ‘stressed’ you feel meant to reflect how hard you work or how successful you are ?

What does being busy even mean ? What is the alternative ?

Having nothing to do? Placing limitations on yourself?

If you do indeed feel ‘busy’ I would like you to reflect on whether this is actually true, or if you are in fact just unorganised?

Would an extra hour or two in your day make the world of difference?

Over a week that would be 14 extra hours of productivity that could alleviate you from feeling overwhelmed and ‘busy’. The answer could be as simple as greeting the day a little earlier!

When your alarm goes off, wake up grateful to have the day ahead of you to make shit happen ! “No one owes you a damn thing, but you can have anything you want if you work hard enough” ( Too true Branch Warren!)

In our household the ‘snooze’ button is a thing of the past.  We set an alarm with intention and commitment. When your alarm goes off in the morning and you choose to ignore it – you have started your day without actioning your intentions. This simple action may seem harmless – but no action is ever without consequences.

If you don’t wake up feeling inspired and excited to make things happen within the next 24 hours…. You are yet to find your best life. Think about what it would take to make you jump out of bed, rather than roll over each morning.

Make a to do list. Then punch yourself in the face. Whatever the first thing you wrote on that list was… just do that. Don’t waste time creating background noise for yourself. Focus on what is important and get on with it.

I used to spend my mornings alone, training. I woke up at crazy o’ clock because it was the only time I could consistently take for myself. Now, with a baby at home – I am never alone! Although my mornings look significantly different, after I have satisfied the immediate needs of my little boy, I still take time to exercise in the morning.

Alone. (Relatively. Often with a little set of eyes watching intently!)

I need that time because to me.. silence is golden.

I listen carefully to what my intuition is telling me, what my heart wants and what my mind knows to be true. The few regrets I have in my life have always come from times that I ignored these things.

I believe that the first things that you think about when you wake up, are the things you should really be pursuing.

Life is just amazing if you get out of your own way and choose to be exhilarated rather than exhausted.

Busy is a state of mind I wont subscribe to.

If you feel busy – its because you are actually doing things. You are LIVING.
