Keep Teens Active, Connected, and Thriving These School Holidays in Geelong
Nov 18, 2024The school holidays can often leave teens feeling disconnected or stuck in unproductive routines. At Geelong Boxing Club, we’re here to provide a positive alternative. Our Teen Boxing Membership will run right through the holidays, offering sessions three times a week to keep young people engaged, active, and supported.
Research consistently highlights the importance of regular physical activity in adolescence. Not only does it support physical health, but it also improves mental well-being, reduces stress, and fosters a sense of accomplishment and self-worth. Social connection during these sessions also plays a vital role in combating isolation and encouraging healthy peer interactions.
Here’s how our program makes a difference:
- Movement for mental and physical health: Boxing is a full-body workout that builds strength, coordination, and endurance while boosting mood and reducing anxiety.
- Fostering connection and community: Teens train alongside others in a supportive, team-oriented environment that builds camaraderie and trust.
- Encouraging structure and positive habits: Regular sessions provide a sense of routine and purpose during unstructured holiday weeks.
Our coaches are passionate about helping young people grow in confidence, resilience, and skill. These sessions aren’t just about boxing—they’re about equipping teens with tools for life, from perseverance to teamwork.
Let’s make this holiday season one of connection, movement, and empowerment. Sign up today and help your teen make the most of their break!
