Which version of you are you really?
Nov 26, 2020Who we are and who we choose to be is our lifes work. I believe we are given this one beautiful life to explore our own potential and embody the full experience of what it truly means to be ourselves.
It sounds wonderful – but its not always easy. The questioning, confusion and loss that comes as who we once knew ourselves as sheds before we full embody the next level of ourselves can be a roller coaster to say the very least.
Our own self awareness during these times has a huge impact on whether we can appreciate growth for what it is -or whether we spend our days clinging desperately to our past, overwhelmed in the present moment and terrified of our future.
Workouts are a beautiful container for us to really push our limits and test our boundaries. The give us immediate insight into how we meet struggle, and what our minds do when we are faced with a challenge or uncertainty. When the going gets tough in a work out – what do you do? Who do you become in that moment?
Is who you choose to be in a workout dictated by your past or driven by your future?
Do you decide how to take on the challenge you face in a workout based on what you know you are capable of doing – or do you push to find out what you might not yet realise you are capable of?
It’s a powerful question isn’t it?
